Stockholm Weekend

There are some good alternatives for nightlife this weekend specially if you're into the deeper side of house. Subsoul at Marie Laveau. The club has premiere tonight. My friend DJ Fiesta is doing his first residency down at the re-opened Grodan tomorrow Saturday. Haven't been down in that basement for ages. Wonder if they still do Heineken on tap?

Hard Times - the label

Went through my record collection with my friend Krister a while ago, searchin for some mid-nineties House and Garage for a retro set he was going to play at a party. Stopped searchin when I found the Hard Times tunes. Probably the label that has had the most impact on me ever. Lots of vocals but also deep instrumentals. A legendary label.

I've seen that Elliot Eastwick sometimes posts at the faith forum, think I have to give him some cred for the "paperboys early morning vocal delivery" of Karen Pollard "reach out to me". It still sounds very very fresh. (sorry didn't find any sound clip)

Baltimore

Just finished second season of the amazing police drama series "The Wire". And received the new "Coast 2 Coast" CD, compiled and mixed by DJ Karizma. At the moment my second hometown is Baltimore.
